Gift Guide For The Hostess
December 11, 2018

Thanks to Laughing Man® Coffee for sponsoring this post.  All gift suggestions and opinions expressed herein are my own.

Creating a gift guide for the host/hostess might just be my favorite gift guide of this holiday season! There are so many fun ideas and gadgets out there that work perfectly for this theme. This year, I decided to focus on items you will find in your kitchen, mainly because as a host/hostess you tend to spend a great deal of time here. When you find something you love and enjoy, I think it is fun to share that with others. For me this year, that’s a coffee brand I recently started using that has quickly become a household staple – Laughing Man® Coffee.  In this post, I’m sharing a few fun ideas on how to arrange a host gift centered around coffee, along with some other kitchen staples. Hope you enjoy!

Laughing Man® Coffee – If you aren’t familiar with this coffee brand, Hugh Jackman (you all know my love for him from the movie The Greatest Showman) is the force behind this brand.  He co-founded it with a purpose to give back to coffee farming communities around the world. Whenever I am giving gifts, I love to share the background story, particularly when it is a gift that keeps on giving! Since its inception, Laughing Man ® Coffee has always strived to ‘Make Every Cup Count’ by donating a portion of sales from each purchase to the Laughing Man® Foundation, which supports coffee farming communities and programs that promote the health, growth and success of coffee farmers and their families. You You can read more about their story and mission here.

Coffee MugsI am one of those people who can never have enough coffee mugs. I also love to give them as an easy gift to others. They can be so fun to pick out and personalize. I typically will pair the mugs in a cute basket with a dish towel and coffee.  This year I discovered a fun trick of grabbing a mini burlap tree (also in a flocked version – the smallest size fits) and placing it inside a coffee mug. Then you can add a bag of ground coffee or box of K-Cup® pods on the side as a gift as well. Not only is this a great host/hostess gift, but also great for any teachers you may be shopping for as well!

Cheese Board (also love this style) + Knives When hosting, this is something I can never get enough of! I always joke with Matt that we need a bigger place just so I can store all the fun cheese boards I have picked up along the way. There are so many different styles out there, so have fun selecting one that you think the person you are gifting will love. I also enjoy picking up a set of cheese knives to tie onto the cheese board. And if you are feeling extra fancy, you can pick up a cheese or two to bring and use at the party you might be headed to. That way this gift is extra useful for that day/night and many to come!

anthropologie candles

CandlesWhen I find a scent I love (such as this Pumpkin Clove), I enjoy sharing with others! I personally love receiving candles and constantly have them lit in our apartment, it is just an easy way to cozy up your space and make it feel warm and welcoming.

how to style fresh flowers

Vase  – Add some greenery or fresh flowers, and this is such a simple, but meaningful gift that can be put to use ASAP. Have fun with styling the vase – above I showed two examples where you can use fresh or faux greenery for a more wintery feel, or go with fresh flowers and berries to create something that could work as part of a centerpiece.

A big thanks to Laughing Man® Coffee for partnering on this post!
