New York City Style
This past weekend Matt and I made it our mission to do as many festive/holiday things around NYC as possible (list at the end of post). We feel so fortunate to live in such a magical place this time of year, and truly try and soak it all in. Needless to say, with doing so, we are constantly outside and needing to dress warm. Over the past year, both Matt and I have fallen in love with the brand Lolë and they have been our go-to for his and her dressing year-round, and even more so during the chilly months.
Matt has accumulated a few of their jackets, each of which have been on heavy rotation lately. The Classon is by far the warmest Jacket Lolë currently offers for men and is tear and rip resistant! A little fun fact, the exterior is made from Japanese Ripstop Nylon which is so reliable that it’s used by the military for parachutes! For our day out and about though, Matt wore the Lawrence waterproof and packable jacket (fitting into a tiny pouch), since we would be popping in and out of different places. The seamless sonic welding reinforces heat-trapping LOFTECH insulation (which is vegan and eco-friendly), keeping him nice and warm!
You may or may not know this about me, but I am ALWAYS cold. With being pregnant I am constantly looking for a jacket that is light in weight (since carrying some extra via my bump), but extremely warm. I love that this Faith Edition Jacket offers impressive warmth-to-weight ratio. It is light as a feather, but highly effective against the harshest cold weather. As Matt and I head to Quebec City this weekend, this jacket is 100% coming along! It is also wind proof and durable water repellent, which will be perfect for the snow showers Quebec is calling for.
Whether you are shopping for yourself or someone else, Lolë is offering 30% off your order (regular priced merchandise) from 12/12/18 – 12/15/18 with code: KENDALL30. This offer is good for both US & Canada. You may have seen me share these two sweater dresses (here – made from recycled plastic bottles! + here) over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, they are so comfortable and perfect for this time of year. If you didn’t have the chance to scoop them up then, you can now with this code along with anything else on their site! I am 5’5 and wearing a small in both of the dresses. They are perfect for dressing down, layering and dressing up for the holidays.
Now, shall we get into a few fun festive places to try when in NYC?…
Miracle on 9th Street – The bar is originally called “Mace”, but is transformed for the holiday season. Tiny inside, but worth the wait! Packed with holiday decor and every cocktail (and mocktail) is served in a festive glass or mug!
Igloo Bar – Enjoy your festive cocktail with a NYC skyline view! This outdoor bar has heated igloos for the full outdoor winter experience.
Snowday In Brooklyn – A seasonal holiday pop-up bar in the main bar room of Sunday In Brooklyn. Decked out as a ski chalet, you will find over the top decorations, fires in the fireplace, cozy blankets and holiday cocktails.
A big thanks to Lolë for partnering on this post!
