This past Tuesday, I posted a bit on my Instagram Story about Harbour Trading Company because I was so excited when my delivery arrived and quite honestly just blown away by the beautiful packaging. Incase you missed it, I’ll back up a bit and tell you how I came to find out about this company and their overall mission.
Last month my brother hosted an event that I unfortunately was out of town for, and David, the owner of Harbour Trading Company, catered part of the event. All I can remember is my brother sending me this most incredible picture of the seafood spread which made me want to be there even more than I already did. Afterwards, when catching up with Trevor (my brother) about how everything went, he couldn’t stop talking about Harbour Trading Company and how it was the freshest seafood he has ever had (side note, my brother has a passion for food and one of his favorite hobbies is cooking, which he is unreal at). I knew right then and there I had to give this a try.
Harbour Trading Company is an “ocean to table” meal delivery service which prides themselves on delivering sustainable, wild “Fresh Catch” straight from the sea, caught from Fishermans and Captains right here in the US. It consists of never frozen, fresh fish with seasonally-inspired recipes making cooking simple, nutritious and delicious from the comfort of your home. When ordering you can choose a meal for 1 all the way up to a party for 8. I love this video breakdown on how everything works.
Their menu changes each week and you are able to see the menus for up to eight weeks in advance. With Father’s Day around the corner this makes for a great gift for your Dad (you can check out the beautiful packaging below). The best part is how quick everything is to whip up and put together. For the wild salmon kebabs I made, all I needed were two mixing bowls, a sheet pan and I kid you not the kebabs were on the table within 15 minutes and the salmon was so fresh it literally melted in my mouth.
Living in NYC I feel like I am always on the go, and with not having a car it is constant trips throughout the week to the grocery store, which takes up a ton of time. Also, I try my best to buy wild fish when possible, but it gets so expensive (around $26 for a piece of wild salmon here in the city) and nothing else comes with it to complete the meal. Harbour Trading makes things super easy, a quick look at the menu online, place your order and select your delivery date and a complete meal (including yummy sea salt brownies) arrives to your doorstep. I always stress out when hosting dinner for family or friends, and I plan to use this service for lots of dinner parties we host from here on out!
