Breakfast Nook Reveal
September 3, 2021

If you remember reading this blog post a few months ago, I had been in the process of working with Kathy Kuo Home on our breakfast nook. A space in our home I was so excited to see come together, but to be honest was at a loss on how to style it and make the most of the space/flow. Well, I am here to report the space is complete and we have been living in it and enjoying the nook for a bit of time now. I couldn’t wait to share this reveal with you all as well as a code for 20% off Kathy Kuo’s site – Kendall20.

I wanted this space to remain light bright and airy, it is a place I knew we would gather as a family and eat meals, as well as have the kids do their homework there, etc. as they grow up. I knew I wanted a round table that could seat at least 5 (we hope to have 3 kids one day), but also making sure the space remained kid friendly with performance fabrics and also comfortable, yet practical chairs (not a big gap in the back for little ones to slip through, etc.).

After initially talking with the team at Kathy Kuo, we bounced ideas and measurements back and forth and they came back with a few options that you can view in the post I linked above. I absolutely fell in love with their one table choice, which had two tones and quite honestly is something I would have never picked out on my own. Another thing they considered was the vibe throughout our house and tying everything together so nicely. This breakfast nook is truly an extension of our kitchen with the deeper wood tones an gold touches throughout.
