Staying in the city for the long weekend was so nice (can’t remember last time we did that). I definitely loved having an extra day to relax and unwind! Matt and I tried to check out a few new things. On Saturday we headed into Brooklyn to Royal Palms which is such a fun spot to hang out, play shuffle board (and lots of other games) and enjoy a drink or two. We then went to the Commodore for dinner in Williamsburg, which had the most insane fried chicken (best I’ve had in NYC)! On Monday we took Hadley on a long walk up town to check out a new park and dog run, and that’s where I snapped these pics. I couldn’t believe this park was so close to us, but yet we have never checked it out.
I have to admit though, the weather has been all other the place. Saturday the snow was coming down heavy and today the weather is supposed to be in the mid 60’s! Needless to say, I have been relying heavily on transitional pieces. This ruffle sleeve top is perfect for now and for later. I “winterized” it a bit by pairing it with these raw hem black denim, but can’t wait to style it more relaxed with light wash distressed denim shorts and sandals once the weather warms.
Ann Taylor has some really great options that can be worn now and then styled differently for spring, such as this bow sleeve coat. A perfect layering piece for this month and then would look adorable with a pair of shorts or tossed over a dress later this year. I listed out a few other favorites below that I will be incorporating into my wardrobe over the next few months!
A FEW AT FAVORITES:
A big thanks to Ann Taylor for partnering on this post!
