Nordstrom Beauty

While packing for Palm Springs last week it got me thinking of a fun post for you all revolved around vacation beauty must-haves for a warm weather trip. I don’t know about you all, but my beauty routine changes a bit season to season and I incorporate different products depending on the look and feel I am going for. During the warmer months, I have always been a less is more type of girl. I don’t like the heavy feel of foundation on my skin  (I prefer a CC cream) and like to embrace a more sun kissed glow. I chatted before in this post (5 Beauty Products I Can’t Live Without) how I enjoy shopping all at once for these items at Nordstrom because it makes things so simple and easy, and the same applies for these vacation beauty must-haves. I will often scroll through their beauty section and  create a wishlist of products that I soon need to refill or new ones I would like to try and add them into my order when shopping for other pieces.

One of my favorite brands to pack for overall skin care while traveling somewhere warm is Supergoop! While I now realize I forgot to photograph these products I brought along (I blame vacation brain), I wanted to still share them with you all. Nordstrom carries such a wide variety of products by this brand and what I especially love are their specialized kits that are all travel size and perfect to grab and go for any trip. While below I am going to chat a bit about what I brought and why, I would love to hear about any products that are your favorites for creating that summer glow!

Vacation Beauty Must-haves

The Ultimate Bronzer – While a bit on the pricier side (you can start with the smaller version here), this stuff is amazing. I wear the “gold dust” color and use a large brush to apply to the spots on my face where the sun would naturally hit (cheek bones, bridge of nose, side of forehead and my jaw line). This bronzer goes on so easy and adds just the right amount of shimmer.

Tom Ford Bronzer

Cheek To Chic Blush – I wear the color “ecstasy” and love how it combines two tones to give you that warm, effortless glow. Always remember to tap off excess powder from your brushes before applying to prevent a harsh contrast on your face.

Charlotte Tilbury Blush

Oil Free Moisturizer – Not only does this lotion smell amazing, but when out in the sun I prefer to use a product that is oil free as the heat often produces excess oil on your skin. I typically wear this under my sunblock to help lock in moisture on my skin, or I apply after my shower in the evening.

Lanolips – I have a slight addiction with chapstick/lip balm and the need to constantly have something on my lips. Going from winter weather in NYC to 85 degrees and sunny in Palm Springs, my lips were dryer than ever. This lip ointment is thick and gets the job done, leaves a nice natural shine to your lips and can double as a thick hand cream or can help with any dry patches on your skin. It is a great option while traveling since it is multipurpose.

Full Dry Volume Blast Spray – Probably my number one pick out of the bunch! The perfect solution for going from the pool/beach to out and about without having to worry about re-doing or washing your hair. It add instant texture (which is key for a messy top knot) and freshens up your locks with just a few sprays! Make sure you spray at the roots and work it all throughout your hair.
