Meditation Journal

Happy Friday, everyone! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed I have been trying to show some more #bts (behind the scenes) footage on my Instagram Stories. I always find it fun to watch other people’s “day in the life” and sneak peeks of what goes into creating a blog post. Just the other day I popped into the Lou & Grey located at 138 Fifth Avenue in New York City and decided it would be fun to bring you along (check out today’s Instagram Stories)! Besides having crazy cool décor and being filled with some of the coziest pieces of all time, they are located in one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city, Flatiron. So much to see, eat and do around there. When you walk into the store, you will be greeted by the friendliest staff (they were loving Hadley of course), and depending on the time of year they usually have really nice greenery outside their store making for a cute Instagram shot. The store’s layout is an open concept which I always find makes it easier to shop and look around.

I went in with the mindset of picking out a few comfy pieces to wear around the house, but that can also easily transition into wearing out and about. Joggers continue to be one of my favorite items to style, so this olive pair was a no brainer. I also loved the sleeve length on this Dolman sweater which will transition perfectly into spring. It is available in a pretty pink as well and in their store they styled it with a lightweight striped top underneath which looked adorable.

If you are looking for something cute to toss on for Valentine’s Day, how perfect is this heart one?! This floral sleeve detailed one I wore here while in Palm Springs was also a big hit! If you are in the market for some comfy yet stylish pieces to add to your wardrobe, I am listing out a few of my favorites below. Also, if you happen to be in the city make sure you pop into the Flatiron Lou & Grey and check it out!

#BTS of these photos – I wanted to share an inside look of how I typically try and start my mornings. I find that I am most productive if I get up and get dressed and ready for the day right away. That could be in an outfit that Matt and I are planning to shoot (we shoot on his way to work), or a more casual look to lounge around and get computer work accomplished in. I then make a cup of coffee and try and take 10 minutes to myself and work on a page in my meditation journal (which I shared with you all not too long ago on Stories). This helps get my mind focused and ready for the day!
