Happy Friday eve, everyone!! Today’s post is a little bit different. As I only have a few days left in my 20’s, I thought I would share 20 things you may not know about me. I usually don’t get too personal over on this little corner of the web, but thought it would be fun to open up a bit and share a little more of who I am with you all. 1. As much as I always wanted to live in NYC, I was terrified of how I would ever “survive” living in this city. It truly took me a good year before I really felt settled and could fully enjoy what I have called home for the past 9 years.
2. Matt and I met our junior year of college (at a mutual friend’s 21st birthday) and have been together for over 9 years (so crazy!). I told myself I would never date a “fraternity guy” and my mom always told me, “things will happen when you least expect it.” Sure enough, Matt came into my life and there was no looking back! 3. When Matt and I chose the church we wanted to get married in and told my parents which one, my mom nearly fell over because she lived across the street from this church (so close, she could toss a pebble on their lawn) and never in a million years imagined having a little girl who would then get married there. Needless to say, so many emotions overcame us and this made our choice that much more special. You can check out our wedding here!
4. Growing up I was bit by my family dog right through my lower lip (I think I was about 8) and needed stitches. Ironically, this experience never shook me and I continued to love dogs and one of the best days of my life was when Matt and I got Hadley.
5. Speaking of Hadley, obviously I love her name, but sometimes wish I thought more about this and saved this name for if Matt and I are lucky enough to have a little girl, ha! Do you think things would get confusing at home if we had two Hadley’s?!
6. I am SUCH a family person and am incredibly close with my family and fortunate enough to have married into the most incredible and loving family as well. I look forward to every family vacation and holiday/time spent together.
7. When I was 17 I accidentally drove away from the gas station with the gas pump still in my car….whoops!
8. My go-to coffee order is an almond milk latte or an iced coffee with almond milk.
9. I get nervous going to events or places where I don’t know anyone. This is something that I have been trying to work on and build up more confidence, but it still haunts me and I do a good job of psyching myself out.
10. My middle name is Bryce — I used to hate my middle name and tell everyone it was Brittany. As I got older, I learned to love it and now look back and laugh at how silly I was.
11. I went to the University of Delaware…Go Blue Hens!
12. In school I studied to be a Child Life Specialist 🙂
13. As I have gotten older, I have developed a fear of flying. I am trying to get better about this, but long flights going abroad are ones that scare me the most.
14. I would love to have 3 kids 🙂
15. I am petrified of snakes…while in Marrakech they had snake charmers in the main square and I kid you not I made Matt walk sprint to the complete other side as far away as possible.
16. You can always find me on the dance floor or dancing around our apartment! I love to dance! Anywhere, anytime and to anything.
17. One of the greatest pleasures in life is being an aunt to my niece’s and nephew. Nothing brings me greater joy 🙂
18. I am married to an identical twin, the first time I was meeting my now BIL I was so scared I would get him and Matt mixed up! Not only are they identical twins, but their names are Matt and Mike.
19. I met my college roommate (all 4 years) and best friend during college orientation! We were paired in the same birthday month group and pretty much connected at the hip ever since!
20. We picked our wedding band based on who could sing one of my favorite songs (Sign, Sealed, Delivered) the best! Still reminiscing about that magical night….
