Happy New Year, everyone!! As I mentioned the other day, Matt and I headed up to Vermont (Jay Peak Resort) with some of his family to ring in the New Year on the slopes and stay cozy by the fire. As much as I love living in NYC, I always feel the need to escape the crowds and stay more low key this time of year. I packed up every soft and plush sweater that could fit in my suitcase as well as these cozy moccasins so I could maximize my relaxation time in our condo and at the resort (more on Jay Peak later).
The snow has been falling non stop since we arrived which has made for amazing ski days as well as enjoying time nestled indoors. Whenever I travel I always try and remember to pack a pair of slippers or indoor shoes such as these moccasins from Payless ShoeSource. I just find it much more comfortable to be in something cozy rather than socks.
We spent a great deal of the weekend alternating between hitting the slopes and spending time by the fire in the condo. Matt and I both agree that we need to plan more than one ski weekend throughout the winter and I can’t wait for the next one!
