Hello from upstate New York! Matt and I wrapped up Christmas with my family, popped back into the city just long enough to swap out our suitcases and repack for a few days up North with his family. We wanted to see his parents and celebrate Christmas with them before they headed out of town for New Years Eve with their friends. Matt and I are then heading to Vermont with my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and our nephew to ring in the New Year on the ski slopes! I packed every cozy thing I own and am so excited to enjoy a glass of wine by the fire and watch the snow fall.
It has been especially warm for December (it hit 62 degrees the other day), which has been great for snapping pictures, but there is something so magical about keeping cozy inside and watching the snow fall. Were headed to a resort that is just about in Canada so my fingers are crossed that we will have some snow.
Matt and I got off the train a bit early and met his parents in Hudson, NY yesterday to check out this up and coming town. The shops are filled with paintings by talented artists, the streets are super hip and such yummy spots to grab a bite to eat. We had fun walking around and checking out the sites. After lugging way too many suitcases (when you have to pack ski stuff that’s when things start to get complicated), I opted for carrying around this perfect, simple burgundy clutch from Sole Society. I love the color and texture of this bag and the size is perfect enough to carry what I need for the day. It comes with a wrist strap (which I unclipped) making it easy to carry around. I think this is my favourite type of bag in all honest, as it is so easy to carry around and I can literally carry it around everywhere I go, without feeling like I’ve got a lot of things. I just carry my essentials with me. I feel like a clutch bag is an essential for any woman.
