JONAS BLIZZARD
January 28, 2016

I don’t know about you all, but I get so excited when I start hearing about a snow storm that is brewing, especially when it will be falling over a weekend. With working at a hospital, we don’t get the typical snow day that others do, so for selfish reasons I love having them over the weekend when I can enjoy it as well. This past weekend #Jonas hit NYC much harder then anticipated and while I spent the majority indoors relaxing and soaking it all in, I also escaped for a bit so I didn’t get too stir crazy.

Walking around NYC in the snow is absolutely beautiful, especially if you can make it up to central park or to some monumental buildings to take in the scene. As of 2:30pm on Saturday the governor placed a travel ban in which only emergency vehicles were allowed on the road. Being a pedestrian it was awesome getting to walk around a typically busy city, through the middle of the streets with not a car in site (look at the image of the Flatiron building below).

On Sunday I made my way over to Bryant Park to meet Matt for lunch (bless his heart he had to work all weekend long) and hit up the shops that were re-opened. I fell in love with the adorable mini snowman all over the park that the kids built! You can check out the different ones below! Something about snow is so magical, it makes me so sad when it it starts to get dirty and melt away (current state her in the city).
