My Morning Routine

I have to admit, I really miss going into my Pure Barre class for a good workout. I am one of those people that just does better in the class setting, and I drag my feet a bit to get motivated to get it done at home! But, if anything, this past year has forced me to rethink this mindset and to make it a priority. I need to get into a groove and have a good morning routine to feel accomplished!

A few mornings a week (I aim for 4), I like to get my workout in before the rest of the house gets up (minus my furry gal-pal, I take her on her am walk first). To make it more likely that it gets done, I try and lay out my workout clothes the night before (Free People Movement has the cutest stuff) so I don’t even have to think about it early in the morning. Then, as much as I crave my cup of coffee, I try and drink a glass of lemon water before and during my virtual barre class. Afterwards, a hot coffee and a few peaceful minutes to myself is my reward before the craziness of the day begins.

To be honest, these days I typically hang out in my workout clothes for the rest of the day. Free People has the best options that can work for breaking a sweat as well as running errands or a quick lunch out. I love the color of this sweatshirt and best thing is it has two zipper pockets. Also, these leggings come in 26 colors, are under $80, high waisted and just overall comfortable. The color I am wearing here is “sea glass” in a size small. My favorite though has to be this sports bra. I own it in a few colors (comes in 19), it’s functional and holds you in place and also has a fun strappy back!
