Happy February! As promised, I wanted to share a kids Valentine’s Day ideas post packed with crafts, small gifts and yummy treats. I started off by sharing the Valentine’s Day crayons I made for Logan. Such a simple and pretty inexpensive way to give a little something different and fun. I also made up printable cards that you could attach the heart shaped crayons to.
At the bottom of this post, you will find a collage with some Valentine’s Day inspiration for your little ones. I ordered a cute customizable plate, have adorable pajamas, a few books and plan to re-make my heart shaped pancakes that morning and grab a balloon which is always a hit. I hope this post brings you some inspiration of a few small things you can do to make this holiday special for your littles!
Printable Valentine’s Day Card
Need a last minute card? Save this image and then print to have 2 cards, one in color and another in black and white. Just cut along the dotted line and fold in half. (the right side will be the card cover).
- Treat Bags – I thought these “I Dig You” treat bags were the cutest. It comes with your choice of shovel color and you can personalize the Valentine’s card.
- Play Dough Set – You know I love the Dough Project play dough (it’s non-toxic and all natural) and they have this cute Love Bundle and Valentine’s Set that would make a great gift.
- Dinner Plate – I purchased this personalized dinner plate as part of Logan’s Valentines. It’s also customizable (I had the chevron background removed).
- Heart Shaped Waffle Maker – This mini waffle maker is perfect for creating a fun Valentine’s breakfast. Easy to use and great for letting smaller kids help out.
- Sweet Treat – If you’re looking for a sweet treat to make at home, these chocolate pretzels with heart sprinkles look yummy and would be a fun activity with your littles.
- Books – I love having holiday themed books for Logan. Here are a few fun Valentine’s books that are under $10. Love From The Crayons, How Many Do I Love You?, Little Blue Truck’s Valentine.
- Coloring Books – These would be great to purchase if you plan on making the DIY heart shaped crayons. Valentine’s Day. ABC’s Valentine’s Day.
- PJ’s – I purchased these matching XO PJ’s from Hanna Andersson for me and Logan. I also thought the zip up, pink, and red heart PJ’s were cute.
- DIY Heart Crayons – This is a quick and fun Valentine’s activity to do with your littles. All you need are crayons and a silicone heart tray. (directions above).
