Anyone else feel like they are Betty Homemaker this time of year?! Don’t get me wrong, I love cooking (baking as well, but truthfully I am not the greatest. During Home Ec. in middle school I mistakenly used salt instead of sugar when baking a pie…I will just leave you with that), but when this time of year falls around, I want to spend every extra second I have whipping up yummy, cozy recipes.
I thought I would share 3 fall recipes with you all. Something sweet, savory, and a snack. Hopefully these inspire you to get in your kitchen and whip up something yourself! These are three of my favorites and I make them on repeat over the next few months.
SWEET: My mom’s apple crisp – Mine still doesn’t taste as good as hers, but I am getting there! My go-to after a weekend spent apple picking, and truthfully not too complicated to make either. I linked you to my Pinterest, but if you click through I wrote an entire blog post about this decadent treat last year.
SAVORY: Pumpkin Chili – No brainer, chili is one of the best things to make this time of year and I already made my first batch during a rainy, chilly day last week. I always prefer making it in the crock pot, much easier for my lifestyle and I can prep things in batches then toss it all in and let is cook all day. Also the aroma is the best thing to smell in your home. While I love a traditional chili, this pumpkin one is perfect for autumn.
SNACK: Pumpkin Pie Dip – The yummiest snack that you can pair with apples and make it a bit healthier, or go all in and eat with graham crackers, ginger snaps, you name it! This dish is a crowd pleaser and is ready to go in no time.
Now, as for my outfit, I tried to stay on theme and share some fall inspo. and layering. This may just be the coziest scarf I have and is also reversible. I styled it with a classic black turtleneck dress, everyday booties and a taupe bag, all from Sole Society!
