This outfit is entirely all about trying to look cute in a city that currently is not (ha!). Between the snowstorm and on and off rain, the streets are filled with slush, dirt and wet sidewalks. While my #ootd lately has consisted of cozy sweats, slippers and an oversized sweater, I decided it was time to try and style a look around my Sorel boots (which I have been wearing non stop).
A little secret about the majority of New Yorkers is that a lot of us wear snow boots around the city and then swap our shoes right before we head into where we are going (typically if going out to eat, grabbing a drink, etc.). While I 110% do this, I wanted to create a look that was focused around my snow boots and incorporate them into my look.
An easy way to do this is to add a pair of leather pants to dress things up a bit, but keep the top half more casual. I love camel and black paired together, which also tie in nicely with the colors of the boots.
We are headed upstate for the long weekend and excited to finally get back to Lake Placid. They are expecting a big snow storm, so these boots will be coming in handy! Happy Friday, everyone!
