Living in the Northeast, our wardrobes change with the seasons. Although I love this, it can be a drain on the wallet as I am always tempted to to shell out a ton of money on a completely new wardrobe with each passing season. As a solution, I try now to invest in certain staples (leather jacket, denim, etc.) and mix and match these pieces with more on trend, budget friendly items. A great place to shop for such pieces is Kohl’s. While we don’t have one in the city (I resort to shopping online), it is one of my mom and my favorite spots to hit up when I am home in the suburbs.
I thought it would be fun to share two outfits I put together, which together still came in way under $200. I focused on their k/lab collection, which has a variety of tops, bottoms and dresses. We all know the floral trend is huge right now and I couldn’t pass up this breezy bell sleeve dress! Whether you are running errands or headed out for the night, you can play around with styling it for any occasion. In addition to the floral dress, I love incorporating embroidery and these high waisted shorts caught my eye. I paired a more feminine top (body suit) to play around with texture and give the look a slightly dressier feel. This top is one of my favorites, I also bought it in the blush pink and can’t wait to wear it with high waisted jeans or a maxi skirt throughout the warmer months.
When shopping at Kohl’s, whether in-store or online, always be on the lookout for deals. I almost never pay full price for anything and typically get free shipping with any purchase over $75!
