Palmetto Bluff

This past weekend was spent down south in Palmetto Bluff to celebrate two of our best friends getting married. While I have been to South Carolina before, this was my first time visiting this specific area and was blown away by the charm, character and overall beautiful environment. All of our closest friends were there and we rented a few homes in the village so we all could be close to one another. We traded cars for golf carts, and had such an amazing weekend filled with the most incredible wedding activities.

Thursday night we enjoyed exploring the property, lunch poolside, and then following a savory bbq dinner, had welcome drinks in the Wine Cellar located right on the main bit of property. Friday morning the bridal party had a boat cruise brunch all around the Bluff. There were dolphins swimming alongside of the boat popping in and out of the water, which was amazing (you may have seen on my Snapchat). That evening we had the rehearsal and welcome dinner at Morelan, which was a classic low country boil. The food was decadent and delicious and it was the perfect outdoor venue, topped off with a Zac Brown tribute band that had us dancing the night away.

Saturday was the big day, and the reception was held on the Palmetto Bluff property under the most gorgeous tented area. Rustic meets chic decor, moss hanging from the chandeliers, and two bars decorated with succulents filled the room. Everything was a dream and truly picture perfect. The couple had their favorite band come down and play, Brian Kirk and the Jerks (which we have watched live on numerous occasions, making it all the more fun to see them perform at the wedding). I highly recommend looking up when and where they are playing if you live around NYC/NJ…they definitely know how to get the crowd going!
