If you happen to miss yesterday’s post, I recapped the majority of our trip out to Fire Island, talking about the island itself and why I love it so much. Today, I wanted to share a few more photos with you all from our trip. The first day was a bit chilly and overcast, so we wrapped up in blankets and sweaters and still made the best of it on the beach. Living in the city I will take a chilly beach day over a sweaty and humid city any day of the week. It was fun just getting to settle in and spend some quality time with family. The rest of our time we lucked out and the weather was perfect and cooled down just the right amount at night making it easy to dine al fresco.
While away, Matt and I wanted to explore a bit of the island so we headed out to the Fire Island Lighthouse. We took the path along the beach close to sunset and it was beautiful seeing the lighthouse off in the distance as we approached. One of my favorite things while traveling it to find landmarks or quintessential spots to capture photos that make the trip memorable!
