Personally, I love discovering new places right in my hometown. Growing up, I truly never appreciated where I lived – its a beautiful suburban area on the outskirts of Philadelphia. While home this past weekend, I headed into a small town near my parent’s home. There are a few shops there and places to grab some food that I wanted to try. After admiring this coffee shop, Malvern Buttery, from afar and decided to go in — and it was magical (aka it was a blogger’s dream house – cute decor, natural light pouring in, fun pops of colors, pink tulips in mint mason jars — literally, what more could you ask for). Naturally, I instantly decided to shoot a blog post.
The concept of the coffee bar was genius. When you walk in, you order your drink from any barista that will be walking around. Then there is a long row of small plates and bites that you can grab and serve yourself. I always love the open kitchen concept, and it was fun to watch the sweet and savory treats being made as well as our drinks. They had a toast station which was my favorite, for $4 you could eat all of the toast you wanted with a selection of three different spreads. You picked up your wood board and then placed your toast and toppings right on top. Needless to say, I will be back…likely every time I am home!
