This past weekend, I packed up and road tripped down to Maryland for our college friend’s wedding. On the way down we passed through the University of Delaware, and we had to pull over, have lunch at one of our go-to spots from the good old days, and stock up on UD gear (oh how times have changed, never thought I’d be that alumni coming out of the bookstore with a new tshirt, shorts, and sweatshrt ha!) I hadn’t been back in a few years and the second I stepped foot on campus a million amazing memories came rushing back.
The wedding was set on the beautiful bay in Ocean City, Maryland. The bride was a sorority sister of mine, and the groom was one of Matt’s good friends. I always joke around that if you go to UD, you will meet your significant other, but honestly so many of our friends that recently got married or are engaged met at the University. At all of our weddings of those who have both gone to UD (which we call Double Dels) we have a school flag that each couple signs and passed down to the next Double Del to get married — really a fun and special tradition.
With knowing we’d be at the beach, I wanted to find a dress to wear out Friday night that was flowy and fun. As always, I fell in love with the open back of this printed dress and even though I didn’t wear it to this wedding (I’ll be posting what I wore later this week), I think it makes a great option for a wedding or special event.
