I have been taking full advantage of the “warmer” weather and sun shining here in the city lately and embracing pushing the “no tights” thing as far as I can. I really have a love/hate relationship with tights and try and only wear them when I absolutely have to. A simple trick for getting around this is investing in a pair (or two) of over the knee boots. That way only a little bit of bare leg shows and you don’t look completely crazy walking around in the middle of winter.
While I opted for a sweater and scalloped skirt option this day, I put the over the knee boots trick to full effect for my girlfriend’s birthday dinner last Friday night. The temperatures dropped and it was quite cold, but I knew the bar following dinner would be packed and hot, leaving me wanting to once again leave the tights at home. I paired this little black dress (LOVE this dressier one) with the same boots below for a practical winter look.
Oversize Pullover // Scalloped Skirt (also available in plum) // Over the Knee Boots c/o (another option) // Leopard Clutch // Aviators // Stud Earrings // Curling Iron (2nd day curl) // Daniel Wellington Watch
