Happy 2016, everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful New Year’s Eve and day. We rang in the new year in the city then headed to PA for my family holiday party and weekend in the ‘burbs. It was so nice spending some serious quality time with the fam. My nieces got a trampoline for Christmas, so we spent hours outside breaking that in (they did not want to do anything else despite the freezing temps!) and my brother’s new toy was a John Deer “Gator,” which we road all around his yard with the screaming girls in tow. Literally the opposite of city life, and I loved every minute of it. I also did some serious outlet shopping for a little apartment refresh, but I’ll be sharing all of the details on that later this week.
The weather has finally taken a turn and it is really feeling like winter. The hospital where I work is constantly freezing so this outfit was perfect for work (and cute enough for play). Believe it or not, I actually snapped these pictures during my lunch hour – Can you say #multitasking? Blogging and working full time can definitely be overwhelming, so being able to get blog pics shot during my lunch hour is such a life savior! Because it’s so cold at work, I find myself living in cozy sweaters, especially when they are on sale and fall under the $25 price tag, such as this cowl neck one! The dress code at my job is pretty relaxed, just no blue jeans, although black or colored jeans are fine.
