Date Night Spots In The West Village
May 4, 2018

Matt and I have made it a bit of a tradition to try and have at least one date night each week. This doesn’t always mean going out, but making sure we have some 1 on 1 time with our phones put away. We do, however, love getting out and about and trying new restaurants. One of our favorite neighborhoods to walk around and grab a bite to eat is the West Village. There are so many new spots that are always popping up, but I thought I would share four of our go-tos that are absolutely amazing.

Before I jump into the restaurant scene though, I wanted to share one of my favorite looks for date night. This romper from Abercrombie comes in 3 different colors/patterns and is one of the most comfortable pieces to toss on and wear. I actually wore it all day with flat sandals and then swapped into a pair of heels right before going out for the night (my go-to move living in the city). I have found a bunch of cute pieces from Abercrombie that can easily transition from day to night, such as these shorts which come in a few colors and can be dressed up or down or this eyelet babydoll dress (how cute is the coral color?!).

4 DATE NIGHT SPOTS IN THE WEST VILLAGE:

Little Owl – There will be a wait, but it is worth it!! This quaint little gem in the West Village is the perfect, cozy date night spot. They have a raised platform level inside that you can sit at and grab a glass of wine while you wait for your spot to open up. If you have some time to kill beforehand, keep walking west on Grove street and you will find one of my favorite hidden little spots in the city.

Buvette – Breakfast, lunch or dinner you can’t go wrong here! In addition to their indoor seating, they have a tiny deck space, which is perfect to grab a morning coffee and croissant and then when the weather allows that have the most adorable garden area out back (twinkle lights included). The food is out of this world, but be a bit open when ordering from the menu, you wont regret it!

Palma – If in the mood for some yummy Italian, this is your spot. Their fried artichokes are a must and you can’t go wrong with any of the fresh pasta choices. Candle lit, retractable roof (in the backroom) and always roses in the front greeting you as you walk in.

Jeffrey’s Grocery – Matt and I had dinner at the bar here a while back and it was one of the best meals ever! Fresh seafood, great wine, and really fun and laid back atmosphere. Also generally has a wait, but not too bad sometimes.
