I truly think one pair of shoes that every gal needs is a pair of over the knee boots. Why you may ask? They are such a versatile shoe that can easily be worn dressed up or down and my favorite little trick of the trade is being able to wear them with a skirt or dress during cooler months instead of tights.

While I opted for a more casual outfit for running around the city and picking up a few last minute things on my Christmas list, you can see how I styled a pair a bit more dressed up here. This pair in particular is from Sole Society and I love how comfortable they are and how high up they come on my leg. A boot like this truly becomes a focal point of your outfit and you can keep everything else simple and easy.
