Re-reading the title of this post out loud made me realize what a tongue twister it is! If you haven’t picked up on it by now, you may know I am slightly addicted to fall. Something about this season is unlike all the rest and I truly enjoy every second of it — now all we need is for it to drop from 90 degrees here in NYC! From pumpkin overload, to seasonal candles and cozy knit blankets, I thought it would be fun to share five of my ultimate fall must have items with you all. I have a funny feeling I may be writing this post a second time with other items as well, because limiting it to five is really tough!
Seasonal Candles – My candle obsession is real and to be honest on a whole new level after visiting Anthropologie and Target recently. Something about them puts me in the best mood and truly helps me unwind and relax at the end of the day (as well as throughout). I rotate my candles each season and always get excited for the new scents that are out there. A few classics I will never say no to are Cozy Nights and Spiced Cider (make sure choose correct scent)…order now and thank me later! I also just picked up Pumpkin Clove and have it burning in my kitchen while I cook and to drift throughout the apartment as well as Fall Day which I have been burning in my office while I work! My favorite new scent though has to be Apple + Oakmoss, is smells INCREDIBLE!! It is a bit larger than the others, but works perfectly as part of my dining room table decor. I honestly may already order another one because I am worried it will sell out. Last, but not least, I picked up this Lagoon scented candle for our bedroom. I wanted to keep a more fresh scent and have the other seasonal candles dispersed throughout. Pretty sure I was Anthropologies #1 customer the other day when I left with 4 new candles (shh! don’t tell Matt!). Anyone else like me and instantly get in the best mood when yummy candles are drifting throughout your home?!
Cozy Scarves – I mean…who doesn’t love a cozy scarf?! The bigger the better in my opinion! I love adding a scarf as a final layer over a leather jacket or paired with a cozy knit. It honestly can be worn a million ways, the options are endless. How cute is this camo one and you can’t forget about this classic…pretty sure I would never take it off.
Throw Blankets – The perfect way to add texture to your home is with a throw blanket. I am a sucker for cozy ones and this chunky knit one I picked up last year works perfect for comfort and looks great tossed over your couch or on a chair. If you are looking for the ultimate cozy blanket though, this one and this one are my (and Hadley’s) favorite. We received both as gifts and it literally is a gift that keeps on giving. Also, I have this basket I keep next to our couch that I store the blankets in, but recently also picked up this adorable white-dipped ladder that I may start hanging a few on as well.
Fall Recipes – It is no surprise that I love any and all pumpkin flavored items, especially this time of year. My mom is coming into town tomorrow, so I already have a classic pumpkin bread in the works, but thought I would share a few of my go-to pumpkin recipes for this time of year.

Favorite Shops For Fall Decor – Even with living in a tiny NYC apartment, I still find a way to store holiday decor and find a few new pieces to add each season. While I can’t decorate as much as I would like for the holidays (due to lack of storage space), I still love searching some of my favorite places for inspiration and picking up a new piece here or there. I just found these adorable (and super affordable) gold pumpkins and added a small one to this years rotation. Totally debating grabbing the large one too because I love them so much!
