For some reason it seems like this summer has been hotter than years past. The humidity hits you the second you walk out the door, which has caused me to perfect my top knot and wear it daily. Because Matt and I love dining outdoors (even in crazy heat), I tend to stick to pieces that are light weight and breezy for the warmer summer nights. This open back romper has been an easy piece to toss on. And with my newly discovered obsession over sticky bras has made wearing open back pieces so easy!
This particular night we headed to one of our favorite outdoor dining spots in the city, the Crows Nest. It’s a great place for a casual bite and a skyline view across the river to Long Island City. I have talked about this place before, but it is sort of a hidden gem, set all the way east on the water. You make your way through the Water Club out to the attached boat which is pumping oldies music and the scene is set with strands of tea lights. It truly is a magical place to be and watch the sunset and dine under the stars (or lack there of because let’s be honest there aren’t any of those in NYC). The food selection here is very limited – you really only go for the ambiance.
