Oushak Rugs
May 24, 2021

I promised you all an Oushak rug post and finally delivering! Ever since I discovered this style rug a few years back I have become hooked. The problem is, they are all one of a kind, which means lots and lots of searching time via Etsy to find the perfect style and size you like. Etsy is where I have bought all our Oushak rugs/runners and from each seller I have never had any issues. As always, just make sure you give a quick glance at the reviews. The only rug pictured that is not from Etsy or technically an Oushak rug is my office, but have had a lot of questions about it so linked it here. The good news with that is there is more than one 😉

When scrolling through all the images of these rugs throughout our house, you can tell the similarities between them all. We have a style/color that we gravitate towards, which is why the search process for us always takes even longer. There are thousands upon thousands on Etsy, it can start to feel overwhelming, but I am telling you they are worth the search! Here is one that would flow nicely with the ones we already have: linked here.

In our guest bedroom, we layered one Oushak rug over a jute rug which is one of my favorite combos to style (shown below). I think it brings so much texture into the room while keeping a warm and cozy feel. Oushak rugs aren’t thick, so they lay nicely on top of one another.

A few of the Etsy sellers I have shopped + purchased from can be found here // here // here // here + here

This runner below was my very first purchase. Sadly their Etsy shop is closed, but it is where I fell in love with the overall style and look. It was used in our apartment hallway and now the walkway into our closet area and bathroom.

This one below is from Lulu & Georgia, but has a similar vibe and I am very impressed with the quality. My color is the “sand”. I bet they have a Memorial Day Sale, so I will keep my eye out for any codes!

Since I mentioned before all Oushak rugs via Etsy are one of a kind, I sadly can’t link any of mind directly, but took some time and rounded up a few that caught my eye. These are listed out below to hopefully cut down on the search process for you all a bit!

Oushak Alternatives

Since all the Oushak rugs from Etsy are one of a kind and could potentially sell quickly, I wanted to include a round up of similar options from different retailers. All 17 options are under $300, most under $100 and a few less than $50. I tried to include a variety of sizes and colors and even came across a couple that were machine washable (#13 and #17). Sometimes though these rug thicker than your traditional Oushak, so just keep that in mind!
