To be honest, I am still in disbelief that after a year of working on this collection, it is FINALLY HERE TO SHARE!!! About a year ago, QVC approached me to gauge my interest in designing a shoe and bag collection with Vince Camuto that would be sold exclusively at QVC. I have always been a huge fan of Vine Camuto’s products and quality, and a frequent QVC shopper (as you all know), so it seemed like the perfect combination. So with little hesitation, I embarked on this new adventure.
I will never forget our first meeting in the city. I was all sorts of nervousness, and would be lying if there were not a few moments where I questioned, what did I get myself into?! This was all so new to me. But mixed with those nerves, was crazy excitement about the prospect of bringing this project to life.
We went from brainstorming and sharing ideas, to looking at swatch samples and renderings, to finally seeing lots of samples in real life. With the samples in hand we were about to rule out the designs that we didn’t love in person, compared to on and paper. And then ultimately come up with the final 3 shoes and bag design. I knew I loved these designs SO much and was very hopeful that all of you would as well! My goal throughout the entirety of the project was to create versatile, timeless and comfortable pieces that you would want to reach for time and time again.
I can’t wrap up this post without saying a huge THANK YOU to you guys who made this possible. 8 years ago when I started my blog I think everyone thought I was nuts, heck I thought I was nuts! I was too scared to share it, and did in fact keep secret for some time until one of our friends somehow found it and shared on Facebook. I remember getting a text from another friend asking me why she never knew about this blog. I will never forget where I was at this moment, I was in TJ Maxx and just started crying. I wasn’t ready to be “exposed,” but also thought it was now or never to take this blog seriously. You all know the ending to the story, but I also want to encourage you all to step outside your comfort zones and anything you believe in can be possible!
