Happy Tuesday, everyone! I can’t believe it has been just over two weeks since Logan was born. I honestly feel like I have been in some sort of time warp. Currently working on his birth story, so stay tuned as that will be coming soon! Matt is officially back at work (insert sobbing emoji), but my Mom came up for a few days to help out, keep us company and make the transition easier!
Over the past two weeks Matt and I have been out and about as much as possible since our pediatrician gave us the go-ahead to go on walks and even eat at places with outdoor dining or that are empty. Living in a small apartment I know I would go stir crazy, so even a walk around the block with Hadley has helped quite a bit. I still need to monitor how much walking I am doing since I am still in recovery mode, but if we want to go somewhere a bit further, Matt has been walking with Logan and then I will hop in a cab and meet them.
Park Avenue has been gorgeous this time of year with the cherry blossoms in full bloom and tulips lining the ground. I always feel like it never lasts that long, so we made an effort to head there and snap a few pictures. Comfy clothes and shoes that slide on and off have been my best friend lately. I also find myself grabbing crossbody bags more often so I can keep my hands free. If you all have any suggestions of open air spots in the city for us to explore, please leave them in the comments below! Maybe I will do a round-up post of the best places to head with a newborn if that is of any interest? Let me know!
