It’s that time of year where the layers start to come out when outfit planning and I am grabbing for my heavier coats while out and about. Each year I look for a coat that will be a wardrobe staple. One that can easily be dressed up or down and worn a million different ways. I tend to gravitate towards the military style and happened to fall in love with this one from Banana Republic (also available in navy and the entire site is currently 40% off). They have such a great selection of winter coats that are perfect for everyday where are great for travel. I actually packed this coat when Matt and I headed to Maine not too long ago as I saw the temps were much cooler than the city. It worked perfect during the day as I was cozy in a bunch of layers and at night to toss on over a dress with a pair of booties for dinner and drinks out on the town.
Lately I have been finding so many great pieces on Banana Republic’s site that are perfect for travel (and they offer free shipping on any order $50 or more). I always look for items that can be worn more than one way (i.e. a sweater that works with a skirt, pair of denim and also tossed on over a dress) to try and reduce my habit of over packing! Anyone else guilty of this?! I always think it is a great idea until I am lugging my bag around regretting every decision.
