I thought I would kick off my holiday gift guides with a popular request of a gift guide for the guys! Matt is tricky when it comes to gifts and never really gives many hints throughout the year, so when he does I immediately write them down in my phone. A lot of the items on his list will appeal to others, are a pretty affordable price range and can be found at Nordstrom. I love shopping at places during the holiday where I can pick up items for more than one person on my list. Nordstrom has an entire Black Friday and Holiday section if you need a little assistance, I always find the price point breakdown helpful while shopping. Also, Nordstrom has started Black Friday shopping a bit early and is offering a great deal TODAY ONLY! When you spend $300, Nordy Club members get $20 in Notes and cardholders get $40 in Notes! They are always making giving the best gifts fun and easy!
Keeping things not too overwhelming, I am sharing five items that make great gifts for any guy on your list! A lot of these are brands Matt loves, things he has or something new he recently discovered and wants to try. Also, if you live near a Nordstrom and want to pick up your gifts ASAP, but don’t have time to shop in-store, they offer BOPUS (buy online and pick up in-store). I have done this before when home in PA and it makes shopping SO much easier. Especially with the holidays it allows for more time spent with friends + family, but you aren’t loosing out on all the great shopping.
Dress Socks – We will start with the basics, because these are ALWAYS on his list. I don’t know what it is, but this kid has more mis-matched socks or socks with holes then I could ever imagine. Dress socks are a perfect stocking stuffer and this brand by Nordstrom is incredibly soft and you can purchase 3 for $30 (and mix and match).
Lounge Pants – I find most men and women immediately change into something comfy after they get home form their work day. It has taken a little trial and error, but this pair by UGG are made form the softest material and wear well with time. They comes in three colors and run pretty true to size (if wanting them more of a relaxed fit size up one). You can gift with a tee or long sleeve and even add in slippers as well to give a complete lounge set.
Bonobos Shirt – Matt discovered this brand a few years ago and fell in love with the quality and fit. We were so excited when Nordstrom started to carry this brand because it made shopping that much easier. This shirt in particular is made from soft cotton and is so cozy against your skin. I love the olive green color for this time of year.
Bose Portable Speaker – Okay okay, this has been on both of our lists, especially for when we travel and want to listen to music in the room or house we are staying. We have a Sonos in our home which we love, but always talk about investing in something portable. When I was at Nordstrom they had this speaker on display where you could try it out and listen to music. I was blown away by the sound quality for the price! Such a great gift idea for anyone, I am thinking about picking up an extra for my parents so we have music outside on the deck in the summer. I also plan to take it to the hospital when we deliver so we have music to listen to and get us through!
Hats – Last, but not least, this might be my favorite gift on Matt’s list! I LOVE him in a hat and found such a variety online. It is a great idea for something inexpensive, but useful and there are so many different colors and styles. My tip would be to focus on a color the guy you are shopping for wears a lot, that way you know it will be put to good use.
