Often enough I always hear “you have to give up comfort for fashion” and that saying always leaves me wondering…why? Why do I have to only run around in sneakers to “be comfortable” throughout the day? Now don’t get me wrong, I do love a pair of comfy sneaks, but have made it my mission to also find and invest in shoes that are wearable for an entire day, even when walking around the city.
Matt often likes to walk to work (if the weather allows), so finding a brand that has comfortable, yet trendy shoes for men and women is key. Born shoes make high quality shoes that feel as good as they look. This past weekend was beautiful and with no real plans in mind, Matt and I set out on a walk throughout the city. We ended up in Central Park for a bit, followed by some shopping on the Upper East Side and a late bite and drink outdoors with friends. We had no idea what the day would entail, but knew we wanted to be out and about. Matt and I were both so impressed with how comfortable Born shoes were for the entire day.
For Matt, having a shoe he can slide in and out of has been key. This loafer has been great for wearing to work, out with friends or more casually around the house. As for my personal pick, I love these ankle booties with tassels, which also come in 4 colors! If you are investing in one shoe color, taupe is my number one choice. It goes with virtually everything in your closet and the suede gives this shoes a true fall feel. Another fun fact about Born is they offer free ground shipping, which makes trying a few different pairs fun and easy. They also offer a kids line as well if you are shopping for a little one!
