So the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (early access) is finally here! I haven’t been talking a ton about it yet because I feel like a bunch of you already know or have heard the scoop. I look forward to this sale the most each year because it is the only sale where you can actually buy pieces for the upcoming season at a discount! Typically it is the opposite and you only get sale items when the season ends.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons to style outfits for. Between the layers, sweaters, booties, you name it, there are so many fun pieces! A lot of what I focus on buying during this sale is just that, but also toss in a few workout musts, home-decor and of course my go-to beauty items!

To kick off the start of the sale I am keeping things more general and sharing what I have my eye on, what is in my cart and what I already own and love. I will also be heading in-store and sharing a try-on session on my instagram stories and updating this post throughout the day as well as posting all pieces I try on via the LikeToKnow.it App!

– COZY SWEATERS –

Barefoot Dreams always always has the COZIEST sweaters and they are the best for travel. This one is already home with me, comes in a few colors (I went with almond) and is $88! You also know I am a sucker for anything Free People, I have had my eye on this cardi for some time and it is finally part of the sale and this one is back again this year in 3 colors and so soft! Also think the funnel neck on this pullover is such a fun detail!

So excited to see a similar criss-cross sweater like this one (worn above) back this year in 5 colors! Loving the tan and I sized down to an XS.

Here is lightweight criss-cross sweater from this year’s sale, I am wearing an XS and recommend sizing down as this one was still roomy! It also comes in black.

Love, love LOVE the cuff details on this long cardigan! It is super soft and comes in 6 colors (two which have the stripe cuff detail). It is $60, but honestly feels like $200! I am wearing a size small.

Free People came out with a v-neck version of this sweater that is the same material and super comfortable. The top photo is the first version and the second photo is the v-neck I linked here. I love the roominess and how easy it is to wear for lounging or out and about. It comes in 6 colors and runs $52 (I am wearing the S). (Denim – Sized Down)

– LOUNGEWEAR – 

Probably one of my most favorite categories (duh!) to shop. I could LIVE in loungewear, all day everyday. This camo set from Honeydew is last year, but dying over the 4 styles form this year! I couldn’t find this set in-store, so just purchased the “sanctuary” color online.

I mean, how cozy is this fleece jacket?! I have the pullover version (shown above) and never want to take it off once the weather cools. Size down, it runs big! Also one of my favorite investments from the sale last year was this robe, it makes a perfect gift for yourself or someone else!

Over the past few years I have been loving pj sets, this one is on sale and by my absolute favorite brand, Eberjey! They NEVER go on sale are are only $67, but I also gave Nordstrom’s brand a try and I PROMISE you they are just as soft and amazing as Eberjey and only $35….I picked up the black ones in the photo!

And finally, these lounge pants are the softest things ever and only $30! Kind of kicking myself for not snagging the grey as well, but going to order online asap. I am wearing a size small.

– CLASSIC CAMEL COAT –

This Leith Midi Coat is perfect for transitioning into fall. Great for layering, but not too bulky. Make sure to size down as it runs a bit big.

One of my most worn items in my closet during the cooler weather is my camel coat. The color goes with everything, it’s classic, versatile and an overall wardrobe staple. This chic one is part of the #NSale and perfect for the upcoming seasons. Also sharing more of an invest piece  (but also reversible) and a super affordable choice (size down)as well.

– DEINIM – 

BLANKNYC (worn in the photo) makes some of the cutest denim that is super affordable. I have been loving the raw hem trend and this pair is absolutely perfect and make sure to check out these for a distressed look! If looking to invest a bit more, AG would be my go-to! – BOOTS + BOOTIES –

Shoes, shoes and more shoes! So many great options, but some you have to act fast (like the Staurt Weitzman over the knee boots)! If you aren’t looking to splurge, this #otk pair is my favorite dupe and a fraction of the price (under $100). When it comes to booties, black, camel and tan are the three I always look for. Something with a slight heel and a bit different from others. Dying over this pair from Marc Fisher, I honestly might get more than one pair (how cute are the leopard), but currently have the black leather in my cart!

– WORKOUT MUSTS –

Wearing size small top + small bottoms

I love picking up new workout pieces because they always motivate me to get up and moving! I live in these camo leggings from Spanx which are included in the sale and always check out the Nike sneaker selection (how cute are these grey sneaks?!). Lately I have also been wearing more and more pieces from Alo, how cute are these black leggings (and these) and this tank I wore on IG Stories yesterday is a must! Something a bit random, but these socks are my absolute favorite! They are “no show”, so you can wear you shoes and be comfortable, but also keep the look of a bare ankle.

– LEATHER + MOTO JACKETS –

In addition to the camel jacket I mentioned earlier, two other staples I always keep my eye out for during the sale are a good faux leather jacket (wearing a US2 )and suede moto jacket. I wear these two non stop during the cooler months and love both paired with a dress (linking the $50 dress in the photo here).

 I love to see what new fun suede colors they come out with each year, thinking I need the olive! I have admit, I think this jacket though may be my favorite purchase of the entire sale!

– JEWELRY –

Whether it be dainty pieces or more statement items, there are so many favorites that are currently part of the sale! These simple, everyday stud earrings I stock up on each and every year. They are my go-to and ones I wear pretty much on a daily basis. As for other favorites, BaubleBar has a great selection of statement jewelry that I have been loving and as you all know, Monica Vinader is my absolute favorite for dainty pieces that also make perfect gifts!

– LEATHER LEGGINGS –

Each year two of my favorite faux leather pants are always included in the sale! These are the most comfortable leggings ever, you honestly will live in them, especially with the high waist. And this pair is just an all around great investment for a classic leather pant!

– HAIR + BEAUTY –

Such a fun section of the sale because who doesn’t need a replenishment on hair and beauty items all year long?! I try and take advantage and stock up on the products I always use (like this self tanner) and also invest in a new to try since they are on sale. You have heard about my hair breakage and how I have repaired it, one way has been sleeping with a SLIP pillowcase. Luckily, this is part of the sale so the perfect time to invest since they are pretty expensive! Also, you all know my love for TULA, they actually came out with the BEST kit with all of my favorite products for only $55 (usually $118+). They are travel size as well so easy to pop in your bag when you are headed out for the weekend or vacation. Lancome also has this kit which includes my holy grail mascara primer I can’t get enough of. This primer combined with this mascara is the dynamic duo I use for my lashes! Best investment ever. Speaking of investments, I have been using the La Mer eye cream which is part of this gift set and been loving it! It still falls under $100 which is a steal.

– UNDER $50 –

I love this category because there are so many great finds that are budget friendly (hello cocoon cardigan for $31)! This tunic comes in a bunch of colors and can be worn year round (I have styled with shorts – see photo – and have also worn with regular denim. It is also a great time to stock up on staples, this raw hem tee is only $11 and comes in 10 colors!

For $22 and 3 amazing (neutral) colors, I couldn’t just pick one of these scarves!

– HOME DECOR –

I could go crazy in this section! From stocking up on a few new diffusers (I own two of these and just bought a third, I love having one in each room of our apartment), to chunky knit throws and the most beautiful dot fringe duvet, I blame my obsession with all things home relator to getting older (ha!). I geek out that Le Creuset goes on sale and get sucked in to adorable pieces like this set of 3 pom-pom canvas bins and this jute pouf.
