This past Wednesday night I headed downtown to the Gramercy Park Hotel for a Galentine’s Day dinner with Ann Taylor. Incase you aren’t as familiar with the term “Galentine’s Day”, it is basically a time to spread the love, create positivity and female empowerment with all your gal-pals, and falls around Valentine’s Day. With that being said, I couldn’t help but to wear this red ruffle sweater for the occasion. As I am sure you know, I have been on a real ruffle kick lately and couldn’t wait to pair it with these raw hem denim and leopard pumps!
Speaking of leopard, Ann Taylor has the best selection of shoes and it was so fun looking around at the event to see how many other leopard lovers there were. I counted about 5-6 gals who were also embracing this trend. What I love about these pumps in particular is that the heel is a bit chunkier and not too high, making them the perfect option for a night out and about. This New Yorker is all about comfort in addition to style!
The dinner was held on the terrace of the hotel with windows lining the entire room peering out at the New York City skyline. Lanterns with candles twinkling and the most gorgeous tablescape and floral decor also filled the room, creating an all around magical experience. I captured a few photos below.
Before we sat down to eat, we had the chance to listen to three true “Girl Bosses” answer a few questions during a Q&A. The panel consisted of Amber Venz Box (Co-founder of Reward Style) , Alli Webb (founder of Dry Bar) and Stephanie Nass ( a famous chef). The answers to the first question they were asked really resonated with me and I wanted to share it with you all. One of the ladies from Ann Taylor asked them what the best advice they have ever received. Their answers were:
I loved how raw and honest each answer was and how much truth behind it there was. These are all things I try and practice with my day to day life, but don’t always do the best job. I decided to write them down on a post-it note and leave it at my computer as a daily reminder. And last, but not least, to all you ladies out there, lets remember to always stick together, lift one another up, and be as positive as we can be each and every day!
#bts of the outfit photos – Matt and I both work super busy schedules each day and don’t always get a ton of quality hang time at the end of the night. I try my best a few times a week to meet him throughout the day even if it is for a few minutes and cup of coffee. It gives both us a nice break in the day and the Public Fare pop-up in Bryant Park is one of our go-tos! You can see in the photos below how nice and open it is.
A little #bts from the dinner…
