Hello from Marrakech! I’m currently abroad with Matt for the week and I am so excited to take you guys inside a glimpse of the charming riad where we stayed in Morocco. As always, I’ll be posting lots more about this trip soon. Our original flight into Morocco got delayed causing us to (likely) miss our connecting flight into Marrakech (which we did). We knew the likelihood of our luggage making it was not looking good, so long story short I decided to pack all of our stuff into carry-on bags for this trip! While it wasn’t easy, I love how this Sole Society weekender bag can double as a “personal item” allowing us to get away with carrying two larger size pieces onto the flight.
When we arrived to our riad, we were greeted by the nicest people and most beautiful oasis. The character and charm here is unbelievable. A riad is basically a term used to describe a hotel or bed and breakfast with a handful of rooms and a courtyard in the center. There are hundreds of riads in Marrakech (most of which are hidden at the back of long narrow streets) and it was so hard to choose one! But one of my favorite parts about this riad is the small pool in the middle, inviting you to dip your toes in and refresh after a day of walking around. Sole Society also has some of the most comfortable shoes and sandals for travel. The gold color ones pictured below go with pretty much everything I packed, making putting together outfits super easy.
