If you all have been following along with my instagram you will know that I have been away skiing in Vermont the past few days. Matt and I made a semi last minute decision to head up north with my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and nephew for a fun ski trip at Jay Peak Resort to ring in the New Year! The resort is right on the boarder or Vermont and Canada, which led to the perfect snowy weather for skiing. Jay Peak is a huge resort, perfect for families or a couple’s getaway. We rented one of their condos which was beautiful (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living-room and kitchen) and equipped with a cozy fireplace. They have a shuttle service that will literally pick you up at your door within two minutes of calling and take you anywhere you desire on their property 24/7.

When we weren’t on the slopes, we spent some time at their massive indoor water park – no joke, it’s a ski mountain with a waterpark (perfect for families where not everyone skis). The slides were amazing and they also had a large bar on the upper level called “The Drink,” making it a fun place to hang out and unwind after a day spent skiing. Matt and I did our fair share of laps around the lazy river and hit up a few of their slides. We both agreed we need to get to an amusement park asap because we had so much fun.

Jay Peak also offers a few dining options on their property which we checked out each night. NYE night they had live music and fireworks as well which was a lot of fun. Even with a four month old (our nephew), it was easy to get around, hang out and keep him occupied all at once! I am hoping to add a few more ski trips to our agenda over the next month or so. It took me a little bit to get back into the swing of things and not feel so rusty, so I’m making it a goal to get back on the slopes a few more times in the new year.
