Finally, its the week of Christmas! Actually, I can’t believe how fast christmas season has flown by! But I plan to maximize each day this week with at least one thing festive. There are still so many ideas on my holiday to-do list around the city, and I hope I can get around to checking them all off before I head out of the city for my parents. One night we are meeting friends at Mollies, which is supposed to be a very festive pub this time of year, we also have tickets to a Nutcracker-spinoff in Brooklyn, and I’m really hoping to make it to Dyker Heights to see the christmas lights.
I was excited when Banana Republic asked Matt and I to team up on a fun holiday collaboration about celebrating together. It is so important, especially around the holidays, to take a step back and enjoy time together with friends, family and loved ones as we easily get side distracted with all the chaos the holidays bring and forget the meaning of the holidays.
This last weekend, Matt and I decided to have a festive day date, checking out the pop-up shops (and food stands) in Bryant Park, watching the ice skaters, and grabbing the best hot chocolate. I am always amazed how this city transforms into something so magical for the holidays. Matt and I both shop at Banana quite frequently and lately they have been having such great sales, perfect for picking up a few last minute gifts (how cute are the ties on these boots)! And if you need a last minute idea for your man, Matt really loves the boots he is wearing below. They are currently running a promotion with 40% off of regular prices items and an extra 50% off sale items with code: BRHOLIDAY.
