Table Talk Tuesday: 5 Reasons To Love Spring

1.The Flowers.

While NYC isn’t quite up to the standards of Tulip Town (in which I am dying to visit), it sure does know how to show off for spring. You can’t go too far without seeing a beautiful array of colorful flowers, mainly tulips. My favorite spread is right on Park Avenue, one side is filled with yellow tulips and the other with daffodils. It always amazes me all the work that goes into making the city so beautiful this time of year.

2. Rooftops Are Open.

If you haven’t noticed, I love eating and enjoying drinks outdoors – especially on a rooftop perched over the city skyline. I love this time of year when all the rooftops start to open and everyone in the city flocks out of hibernation and crowds into the few places in the city with great outdoor space. Below are a few of my favorite rooftops in the city and pics I snapped to give you a sense of the view/space.

Roof at Park South Hotel – This is one of my favorites (possibly because its convenient location to our apartment). The food is delicious, the drinks are event better (they have a menu called “crushables” devoted to yummy drinks with crushed ice). Although the space gets crowded, there are still plenty of tables to sit and relax.

Pod 39 Rooftop – This place has such a great atmosphere and vibe and the rooftop itself has so much charm and character. The picture below is the inside roof space, but make sure you check out the site to see the actual roof (I failed to snap a pic). In the summer they have my favorite beer ever: High or Hell Watermelon.

Le Bain (rooftop of The Standard hotel) – While this rooftop is one of the least spacious and typically has a huge line to get up, I still would highly recommend this place just for the view. The views looking downtown truly are incredible, including a view of the World Trade. It is a very laid back atmosphere with people just lounging on the ground or in the chairs that are laid out.

3. Wedding Season.

After a long hiatus during the cooler months from seeing people say their I-dos, I love that spring also kicks off wedding season.  Personally, I enjoy attending weddings and seeing old friends and getting glammed up.  I am so excited to have our two best friend’s getting married this weekend and be able to enjoy our first wedding as a married couple! Below I listed out a few favorite wedding “guest” dresses that I have had my eye on. I’m currently on the hunt for a dress for this Friday’s rehearsal dinner — any ideas?!?

4. Central Park.

Whether you dine at the Boathouse, take out a row boat or simply just wander around the park, being there will take you out of the busy city and a sense of calm will come over you. This time of year, the trees are blooming, music is playing, and the park is packed with pedestrians and bikers. On that note, my friends ventured into the park Sunday and saw Leo Dicaprio laying in Sheeps Meadow! I was beyond jealous. So yeah, another reason to hit up the park is the possibility of seeing an uber-famous celeb.

5. Rompers.

Duh! Do I even need an explanation?! You all know my obsession with jumpsuits, so naturally when this time of years rolls around I start to live in rompers. I have found so many cute ones this season and am listing a few of my favorites below. I LOVE the one pictured below from Cooper and Ella.
