Are any of you guilty of sticking to the same places you know/have been before wherever you live? While Matt and I love trying new restaurants and walking around new neighborhoods, I am definitely guilty of not taking full advantage of visiting the landmarks that people travel near and far to visit. The other day was a gorgeous summer evening and I set out uptown towards the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET), which I had not visited in several years. Between the tree lined sidewalks and fountains on each side of the museum, this area is truly picturesque. For a second it felt like I escaped the hustle and bustle of the city.
A gentleman was playing the guitar and singing a few tunes right outside, which I took full advantage of dancing around while taking pictures in this crochet shift dress (and no, I am not joking)! If you are visiting the city during warm weather and checking out the MET, make sure to pop up onto their roof for a drink and breath taking view of Central Park! And warning, the MET is huge! You definitely need several hours or multiple trips to take it all in. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
