We all know I love a great jumpsuit, and while I passed on the Jay Godfrey one for fashion week, I had this amazing REISS one packed away and ready for my trip! While I mostly brought more casual outfits, I knew we’d be eating at a more formal restaurant one night at our resort and thought this black jumpsuit and caged heels would be perfect. We stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo and I couldn’t recommend it more highly if you are looking for a laid back, easy getaway. Throughout my outfit posts from vacation I will touch on different things we enjoyed from the trip that this resort offered. Just an FYI, it was not a sponsored trip, truly just loved it and a lot of you had questions via Instagram so trying to share some insight!
Iberostar is a very large complex with a bunch of resorts within. Depending on which hotel you choose, you could have access to all resorts, pools and restaurants. On our trip we tried a Japanese restaurant (my fave!), Cajun and French…the last night we ventured out in town to Playa Del Carmen (more on that later) and ate authentic Mexican with margaritas the size of my head. This is the first time Matt and I did the all-inclusive route, and it’s definitely very different, but SO easy (like constant flow of churros easy). It’s nice to indulge and not worry about the expense at the end. For families, it truly is an ideal resort – there are so many activities for kids (wave pool, lazy river, sports, etc.). However, if you want a romantic, quiet resort, this is probably not the answer – although the highest end of the chain of resorts is adults only, but we did not have access to those facilities.
Now back to the jumpsuit, I love the elongated silhouette and how it tapers at the ankle with a turn up hem to really show off your shoes. An added bonus is that it works great with flats as well. It is also much more tailored with raised hems to give your body more shape. Since in Mexico, I added a tribal print clutch to bring some color and character into the overall look!
