I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that as of today I have been blogging for an official year! I know that time flies, but man, where did the last year go?! 365 days ago I started this little journey and am so happy to have a teeny tiny part of the worldwide web as my own to share some of my favorite things with all of you. Many of you may not know this, but I started this blog as a “secret blog,” where I would share my love for fashion post by post. My family and now fiancé were the only people that knew it existed and I was very nervous to ever put myself out there and share it with the world. Luckily for me (although I didn’t feel this way at the time), a friend discovered my blog somehow and wrote about it on the public forum of Facebook. I was in shock. Although I must have realized that it was inevitable that I would eventually be exposed, for some reason I never contemplated the possibility. As I took the next several hours to process this turn of events, and after repeated requests from friends and colleagues to share the link to my mystery blog, Styled Snapshots was officially out of hiding. I now look back and am truly thankful that my friend unknowingly exposed my secret, thus allowing me to fully open up my life and style to all of you.

Revealing Styled Snapshots to friends and family was the first of many challenges this blog has forced me to overcome. For example, for the first several months of blogging I took the majority of my pictures by myself (using a tripod) on the roof of my building because I was terrified of taking pictures on the street in front of others. Eventually, I too overcame this fear, and now taking pictures in broad daylight in front of complete strangers is what I call a typical afternoon. It really is remarkable to think about how much has changed in a mere twelve months and I look forward to what challenges this blog will force me to face, and hopefully conquer, in the years to come.

Finally, I want all of my readers to know that it is because of you all that I am inspired to work on Styled Snapshots every day. I truly appreciate you all coming back over and over! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for visiting my site and sharing this experience along side of me.
