bareMinerals bareSkin Foundation
May 7, 2014
It is that time of year again where I begin to spring clean my entire apartment, down to my makeup drawer – it is amazing what I manage to collect throughout the year. As the weather warms, I know it is time to think lighter when it comes to my makeup. As I started my search for new summer products, bareMinerals came out with an exciting new launch of a first ever serum foundation called bareSkin, and I was elated to have the opportunity to partner up with them and give it a try.
I have been using bareMinerals matte powder foundation and bronzer for years – pretty much ever since I shed my addiction to liquid foundation in high school (which pretty much involved me painting my face with a thick layer of tan paint, oops!). However, my mom swears by liquid foundation, so after reading about bareSkin I decided to give it a go. I received 5 different shades to color-match my skin tone (the collection contains 20 shades). To my surprise, I only needed three small drops to cover my entire face and it had a silky texture and was ultra thin. I wanted to put the product through a true test, so I applied it before working my hospital prom where I knew I would be running around all day and dancing the night away with the patients. I first applied a primer and then used the “shake, drop, brush” method to apply the foundation.  At the end of the night my face did not feel greasy as I had remembered back in high school, and it felt as if I didn’t even have makeup on my skin. I am still truly shocked with how natural and lightweight it feels. As of May 1st, bareSkin can now be found in stores so make sure you go try it out and you can also purchase a sample to try here!

Application Tips:
1.Shake well
2. Drop 2-3 drops of foundation onto your brush (add additional drops if needed)
3. Buff onto your skin in a circular motion until fully covered with the brush
