It is that time of year (although yesterday in the city could have fooled us all…it was almost in the 80’s) where you start to make your jacket part of your outfit. I love this time of year where you basically can create two looks within one outfit and decide wether or not you want to leave your jacket on or take it off.

I recently was shopping around the city and stumbled upon this military inspired jacket from Banana Republic. The structure, color and detailing throughout instantly caught my eye. I am a big fan of taking something and making it my own, so wanted to give this piece a more edgy, downtown vibe with the coated denim and black booties.

I head to LA for the first time tomorrow and plan to bring this jacket to wear with a leather skirt and tee since the weather is going to be on the warmer side, but cool down at night. Matt is meeting me there towards the end of the week and we are going to be celebrating our 1 year anniversary out there (so crazy it has been a year!) and would love any tips, suggestions and recommendations!
