A PEEK INSIDE
November 1, 2013
When thinking about my next post, I thought it would be fun to give you all a small peek inside our NYC apartment.  I may be jumping the gun assuming you all have the same addiction as I do when it comes to looking inside homes and apartments.   I could watch Million Dollar Listing, Selling New York and anything on HGTV for hours on end.  When we first found our current apartment my wheels started turning and I began to envision exactly how I wanted it to be, you would have thought that I won the lottery and cost was not an issue with my never ending wish list and design board.  Quickly, reality sunk in and my boyfriend wasted no time bringing me back down from my dream world and I knew I would have to strategize to get the feel that I wanted.  Target and Home Goods became my best friend, and I knew that it would take months to get everything together instead of overnight which I imagined.  I also have to say that I am fortunate to have a boyfriend who is so easy going and let me own the project of decorating our place with the occasional check in.  I wanted to make sure it balanced both of us and was the perfect combination of “he and she”.

Yes, I still struggle with the need for constant design change and have already pleaded and begged for my boyfriend to let me re-do aspects of our apartment, but the thing is when it comes down to it, we absolutely love it!  We lucked out with a triplex apartment, which consists of three small levels, so today I am giving you a glimpse inside our second level which is our living room area (and yes, our fireplace works!).  Hope you enjoy…
