Happy Monday! This past weekend Matt’s friend from back home decided to book a last minute flight to NYC to hang with us and meet Logan. We also had our friends casual engagement celebration over in Brooklyn on Saturday. It was a fun weekend trying out a few new spots and the temps were chilly so I couldn’t wait to pull out all my cozy sweaters and style them with my new Brahmin bag (the Mod Camille Mumford). I love the sleek black look and beige whipstitched trim of this bag, it also has a removable (and adjustable) strap, which is key being a mom and carrying Logan and other things! If looking for a larger size “carry-all” tote, I love the Finley Carry-all Melbourne. It comes in 10 colors and is spacious and chic!
While out and about, I mentioned we tried a few new spots between NYC and Brooklyn. I thought I would list them out below incase any of you are looking for a few fun new ideas.
Wildair – A natural wine bar on the LES with simple dishes and delicious wine. We put our name in and had a little wait, but grabbed a drink nearby. Smaller spot with a great vibe.
Public Records – A college friend actually is part owner of this spot and it was fun to get over there to check it out and celebrate our friends engagement. It is a vegan cafe/coffee shop (with a DJ) during the day and then there is a nightclub off the back if wanting to head there for a nighttime scene. The cafe/coffee shop is very family friendly and has outdoor space as well. The bar opens at 2pm and food is available at 4pm.
Pig Beach – This casual spot just down the street from Public Records is a must! Indoor/outdoor space with incredible BBQ and extremely family friendly.
A big thanks to Brahmin for partnering on this post!
