Road Trip To Warwick, New York
September 17, 2019
Warwick

This past weekend I packed up our entire fam (Hadley included) and took a little trip up north to check out Warwick, New York. Matt’s co-worker owns a home there and gave us so many great recommendations for the trip. Top of my list was hitting up a few of the orchards for some fun fall activities. With only being located about 50 miles outside of the city, we thought it was the perfect place for a little weekend escape.

Of course I packed up all my fall gear, including these new ankle booties from Sole Society to get a few shots (and family shots) while at the orchard! Everyone was a good sport with my request and I think one turned out super cute!

If looking to check out this area during the fall season, we stopped by a few orchards, listed below.

Maskers Orchard – This was a fun experience because you actually drive your car onto and park anywhere on the orchard. It is rolling hills of apple trees and just a fun experience. They are pet friendly, which was nice being able to bring Hadley! When you drive to leave, follow the exit signs, and it takes you down to their main area with a farm stand, horse rides, yummy treats and a maze for the kids…worth parking and walking around for a bit. Overall, a unique experience with the ability to drive on and definitely worth checking out!

Pennings Orchard – I feel bad saying this, but Matt and I are DYING to go back here without Hadley so we can experience all it has to offer. Unfortunately they no longer allow pets, but I wanted to quickly check things out for myself while Matt took a conference call in the car and hung with Logan and Hadley. Besides your typical apple and pumpkin picking, they also have a brewery (indoor/outdoor with live music), a cider distillery, hayride, maze, animals and so much more. The perfect place with family or friends!

Apple Ridge Orchards – Yes, I know…we made our orchard rounds on this trip, haha. This one had a great picture opt in their pumpkin field (pumpkins laying everywhere), a hayride and was also pet friendly!

After checking out a few of the orchards we worked up an appetite and headed into the main part of Warwick. It’s a really cute little town with some restaurants and shops. We grabbed a bite at Cafe A La Mode, and then headed to out the farmer’s market.

We ended the day with a drink and live music on the water on Greenwood lake (about 10 minutes from Warwick) at Cove Castle, which was on our way out of town. Logan had a blast watching the boats out on the lake and Hadley lived her best life relaxing on the sand in the shade.
