How To Mix + Match Maternity + Non-maternity Pieces
March 1, 2019

Throughout this pregnancy, I have continued to try to figure out my “style” for my changing body. In doing so, I realized I love mixing and matching maternity and non-maternity pieces the most. I have struggled, however, with finding maternity denim that actually works…and of course now that I am well into my third trimester I am finally discovering jeans that I love!

LOFT has such a great variety of pieces for all body types; petite, regular, plus, maternity and tall. What I enjoy is being able to pull a duster sweater in my regular size, a leopard top from their New Arrivals, but size up one for the bump, and tie it all together with a comfy pair of maternity jeans that actually stay up (game changer)! Where I can find things that fit in my regular size that’s great since I know I will be able to wear it after. But more often than not, I have needed to adjust my size, and I love that LOFT has so many options to make this easy.

As the weather keeps going back and forth from warm(er) to cold, I have been layering up as much as possible. One of my favorite tips is to pair a longer tank under a shorter top to give your look a little dimension and variety. You can easily transition the sweater and leopard top I am wearing to a pair of distressed denim shorts once the weather really warms up! The key to dressing for this transitional time is looking for classic pieces that can be styled or worn a bunch of ways, season to season.

One last fun thing to take us into the weekend, LOFT is offering $50 off your $100+ purchase (online) and 50% off Sale styles (online)! Such a great time to stock up on a few basics and essentials to take you into spring. Happy Friday, everyone!
