A Trick For Making Packing Easier

Weekend getaways have got to be one of my favorite things! Matt and I tend to do a mix between planned weekend trips and those that are a bit last minute. One trick I learned and have been doing this summer is to keep my weekender bag always partially packed. This basically includes everything you will need no matter what (toiletries, pj’s, bra + undies, etc.). Then when it comes time to finalize packing and head out of town all you have to worry about are your outfits.

I typically always travel in some sort of flats and have been loving this velvet smoking slipper (10 colors/prints) pair from Sole Society. They are comfortable, can work as a neutral and look cute with shorts or denim. Another thing I gravitate towards on their site are their travel bags. They make a perfect gift or something not too expensive to treat yourself to! When flying, but trying to carry on, I get away with having this weekender bag be my “personal item” and then I can also bring my suitcase. Don’t hold me to that, but I haven’t had any issues yet!

Are you the type of person that likes to getaway on the weekends or do you enjoy relaxing and staying put? I like a balance of both, but during the hot summer months I definitely  gravitate towards escaping!
