Styled Snapshots

This past Sunday, Matt and I were back in the city and the day was absolutely gorgeous so we new we wanted to get out and about. We had made plans to grab brunch with one of our friends and she happened to be checking out an apartment on the Upper West Side, which lead us to grab a bite in an area we don’t typically get to. The UWS is really so beautiful and quaint, and to be honest, I don’t know why we don’t head over there more!

I had been wanting to try Jacob’s Pickles for the longest time and the weekends are always my “cheat meals,” so what better way to spend a Sunday than indulging in fried pickles, fried chicken, and yummy biscuits. If that wasn’t enough, my sweet tooth hit in full force afterwards, and we just so happened to pass by an Emack and Bolio’s and there was no going back! Needless to say we needed to walk around a bit afterwards to digest, so cruised through the farmer’s market on Columbus avenue and made our way over to Central Park before heading home.

While I didn’t wear these heels while out and about (I opted for a pair of sandals ), I love how they look with this pleated top and wanted to shoot them for this post. I love the cork for summer, it goes with everything and can work for a more casual or dressed up look depending on what you are wearing. I have said it over and over, but Ann Taylor really has some of my favorite (comfortable) shoes!
