This post is long overdue and I am so excited to share it with you all! I took a poll awhile back on Instagram Stories asking if you all wanted to see a bedroom update and the answer was yes! Over the past few years I have realized how much interior design is a passion of mine. I love coming up with and planning out ideas and inspiration boards and bringing them to life.
Since I know this is not our forever home, anytime I give our space a bit of a facelift I try and keep a budget and pick items that won’t break the bank. One of the first places I look is Urban Outfitters Home section online. They have such a wide variety of items and I find it easiest to make a wishlist, add items you are considering to it, and then when you go to look at your wishlist it can also work as a mood board, making sure everything you’ve selected works together.
Pillows are always an easy update and can really transform your space. I added this embroidered one to our wishbone chair and this faux fur one to our bed for a bit of texture. I also swapped out our duvet for this lighter weight one for summer. I ordered these baskets to go by our floor lamp (and remove the ottoman), which will help hold extra throw blankets and pillows from our bed…just waiting for them to arrive!
I love a neutral, boho chic vibe and really wanted to create a space where we can relax and unwind after a long day. By looking into this Rug buying guide, how to shop for a quality rug, I was able to work my way around making simple improvements to my room. We all have to start somewhere. I still need to update the one black and white photo above our bed (it drives me crazy it is b+w), but I love that picture so much, which is why I haven’t done it yet. I also fell in love with these pillows and added two to our couch in the living room and swapped out our old ones! A simple change can make all of the difference and give your space a new feel and look!
